Nominations now open for the 25th Annual Show Me Service Awards
ServMO invites Missourians to celebrate outstanding volunteerism; nominations close February 12
ServMO is seeking nominations for the 25th Annual Show Me Service Awards, celebrating a quarter-century of honoring Missourians who strengthen communities and improve quality of life through selfless service and volunteerism.
"Recognizing Missouri's volunteers not only honors their dedication, but inspires others to serve,” said Dr. Bennett Boggs, Commissioner of the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development. “The Show Me Service Awards celebrate the positive change that happens when we support our neighbors, and I encourage everyone to consider nominating a deserving volunteer."
The awards are divided into seven categories:
- AmeriCorps Member of the Year
- AmeriCorps Senior Volunteer of the Year
- Youth Volunteer of the Year
- Adult Volunteer of the Year
- Senior Volunteer of the Year
- Community of the Year
- Business of the Year
The Volunteer of the Year and AmeriCorps awards are divided by age and region (North/Central, St. Louis area, Kansas City area, and Southern) to ensure nominees compete directly within their age group and geographic community. A single statewide recipient will be selected for the Community of the Year and Business of the Year awards. “Volunteerism comes in many different forms – from formal volunteering at a local food bank to grassroots efforts to collect supplies for school classrooms,” said Brittany Crabtree, ServMO Executive Director. “We have a responsibility to acknowledge these outstanding individuals in hopes of inspiring others to do the same, and we appreciate the communities help in recognizing Missourians who are building a brighter future through the power of service.”
Nominations are open now and must be submitted through the online nomination form by Friday, February 12 at 11:59 p.m. The 25th Annual Show Me Service Awards presentation ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2027, at 1:30 p.m. in the Capitol Rotunda.
