DOH ISSUES RED PLACARD TO ADRIANA’S KITCHEN CATERING & SERVICES LLC IN WAIPAHU

26-143

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 21, 2026

HONOLULU — The Hawaiʻi State Department of Health (DOH) issued a red placard and immediately shut down Adriana’s Kitchen Catering & Services LLC, located at 94-866 Moloalo Street in Waipahu, due to multiple critical food safety violations.

The food establishment received the red placard on Oct. 21, 2026, and must remain closed until DOH conducts a follow-up inspection and all critical violations are corrected.

During a routine inspection on Oct. 21, 2026, a DOH inspector noted the following critical violations:

  • Improper cold holding temperatures. The establishment’s only refrigeration unit was not maintaining proper temperatures.
  • Two cartons of shelled eggs were left at room temperature.
  • The mobile unit’s handwashing sink had no water at the start of the inspection. This violation was corrected on-site and the water supply was restored.

Before the establishment can reopen, DOH is requiring the following corrective actions:

  • Ensure the refrigeration unit maintains food at 41 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
  • Store eggs at an ambient air temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
  • Ensure the handwashing sink remains operational and is supplied with adequate water, hand soap and single-use paper towels.

The next follow-up inspection is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, 2026.

The DOH Food Safety Branch protects and promotes the health of Hawaiʻi residents and visitors through education of food industry workers and regulation of food establishments statewide. The branch conducts routine health inspections of establishments where food is prepared, manufactured, distributed or sold.
